FutureLight Article Claims LEDs Gaining in Popularity

LED lighting solutions may become more popular with consumers seeking low-energy bulbs than compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) alternatives, it has been suggested.

Speaking to the Lewiston Sun Journal, lighting store manager Ron Dumais explained that the positive aspects of the products and an increasing range of options may see them take over CFLs as a primary light source.

“The benefits of LEDs are many. They reduce energy up to 80 per cent when compared to standard incandescent and last up to 50,000 hours or 30 times longer than the equivalent,” he explained. [read full story at FutureLight.
